Anne van der Wal
PR Consultant
Anne (Stadskanaal, 1996) studied Communication and Information Sciences at the University of Groningen. A master's degree in Communication Science at VU University brought her to Amsterdam. Her interest in the PR profession developed during an internship, immediately after which she started her first job as PR account manager. Besides her work at Coebergh, she writes for the magazine Côte et Provence, among others, where she can express her love for the French language and culture. Anne has been working at Coebergh since 2021 for Auping, FrieslandCampina and Hansgrohe, among others.
Arabella Coebergh
Associate Partner
PR is right up Arabella (Haarlem, 1971)'s street. She is driven to go through fire and water for her clients and achieve results. With a whirlwind of energy, she throws herself fully into her clients and projects. Before her time at Coebergh, where she has worked since 2000 and as an associate partner since 2005, she gained experience at the Land of Ever, Disneyland Paris, media agency Schreiner & Van Bokkel and event organisation IWP. Her diverse client portfolio includes Art Rotterdam, Unseen Amsterdam, PAN Amsterdam, museums, art galleries, renowned hotels and cosmetics companies.
Britt Leeman
Social & PR Consultant
Britt (Amersfoort, 1995) already knew while studying Communication at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam that she wanted to build brands' calling card on social media. In 2018, she started working at interior design shop fonQ, where she set up a successful influencer network, doubled the number of Instagram followers every year and collaborated on major online campaigns. Nowadays, she combines her love of interior design and photography on her Instagram account @liefsuitdeloft. Travelling is one of her loves - unforgettable was her solo trip to Japan.
Carly Bothof
PR & Communications Trainee
Carly (Amsterdam, 2002) studies Business Administration with a specialisation in Luxury Marketing and Communication at the International University of Monaco. After spending a year playing hockey at professional level in America, at Syracuse University, Carly came back to the Netherlands. Her family has always spent a lot of time in southern France/Monaco, so she went after her family tradition to study in Monaco. From July 2024, Carly will do her graduate internship at Coebergh. She plans to start her master's in beautiful Amsterdam from September 2025.
Eelco Parie
Associate Partner
Eelco (Roden, 1977) joined Coebergh as an associate partner in 2017. He focuses on developing and implementing effective media strategies for b2b and corporate clients. With his expertise in ghostwriting and background in media and information law (graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2004), he plays a crucial role in crisis projects. He previously lived in Curaçao for seven years, where he co-founded Coebergh Caribbean and served clients in the region and the Netherlands. He continues to regularly return to the island both for business and personal reasons.
Fien Driessen
PR, Communications & Social media Trainee
Fien (Ede, 2000) studies Communication Science at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. After a gap year in Valencia where she learned Spanish and played hockey, she settled down in Amsterdam for her studies. This is where her interest in communication & PR began. Starting in September, Fien will complete a six-month internship at Coebergh, where she will support both the PR and social media team.
Kiki Hirschfeldt
Director - Owner
Kiki (Hilversum, 1979) is a passionate leader and trusted advisor to executives in profit and non-profit organisations. After graduating in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam in 2003, she quickly made a career at Coebergh, becoming a board member in 2008, a partner in 2015 and acquiring full ownership in 2023. She is a professional mediator and has completed the Nyenrode Supervisory Board cycle. Kiki founded the Sinterklaas Bestaat foundation, which she led for 15 years, supporting families below the poverty line with valuable Sinterklaas gifts. She also started BeterThuis, an organisation to help elderly people live independently at home for longer.
Lotte Huijg
Account Director
Communication professional at heart and a real language talent. Lotte (Utrecht, 1986) started as an intern at Coebergh and has now been with the company for 15 years. She currently works as account director for clients such as Auping, HartKliniek and Centraal Museum Utrecht. She has a great interest in (interior) design - she recently took the interior styling course at NIA Academy - and cultural activities and projects in those sectors are therefore in very good hands with her. She studied Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, where she completed a master's degree in Commercial Communication & Information.
Maria Carballo
Finance
Maria (Acatlan-Mexico, 1974) is our financial officer, with a wonderful heap of extra experience and expertise. She previously worked in the same role at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, now she can put all her numerical skills and precision work to use with us. Great for our clients, suppliers and colleagues. Perhaps her main asset in this working environment is her great love for nail art. We love it too!
Marilou Kersemaekers
Director PR
Studied Journalism and New Media (Leiden University) and Communication and Information Sciences (Radboud University Nijmegen). Marilou (Bathmen, 1984) completed part of her studies in Spain, at the Universidad de Murcia. After an internship at NOS and Al-Jazeera English in London, she started working as a news editor: first at RTV Noord-Holland, then at NOS. In 2014, Marilou came to Coebergh, where she now leads the PR team and is responsible for a fine selection of clients, such as IKEA, FrieslandCampina and Postillion Hotels.
May Loek
PR Account Executive
May Loek (Enschede, 1994) is a communications specialist with a bachelor's degree in Dutch language and culture and a dual master's degree in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she did an internship with Ahold Delhaize's Global Communications team. As a volunteer at the VoorleesExpress in Utrecht, she helps children with their reading skills. In her free time, she enjoys reading and painting with acrylics and watercolors. Additionally, whenever the opportunity arises, she loves sailing her boat through the canals of Amsterdam.
Piet Hein Coebergh
Associate Partner
Studied business administration, public administration and law, and obtained a PhD in communicating strategy. Worked as namesake and partner at Coebergh until 2018, returning as associate partner in 2024. Combines consultancy with research and teaching since 1997, including at Hogeschool Leiden, Erasmus University Rotterdam, foundation for communication research and, since 2022, at the University of Amsterdam. He has published eight books and many articles on business topics, especially in communication management. His expertise lies in strategy formulation and communication.
Sammy Moonen
Director Social
Sammy (Tilburg, 1992) studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, with a focus on Fashion & Branding. As part of her studies, she did an internship with designer Iris van Herpen. After her studies, she joined Hearst Netherlands as Commercial Art Director, working for brands such as ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire and Quote. She later focused on social media and worked for Hudson's Bay and Rituals Cosmetics, among others. At Coebergh, as Director Social, she is responsible for the social media and influencer marketing team and works for brands such as Campina, Teva and Sisley Paris.
Sanneke Mandjes
PR Account Executive
Sanneke (Almere, 1997) completed her Fashion & Branding studies at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. During her studies, she gained experience with a graphic design internship at HEMA and as a freelance journalist at JAN Magazine. She now combines her passion for magazines with her work in PR. Here she can express her diverse interests, such as lifestyle, fashion, design and interior. At Coebergh, she works on various projects for clients such as FrieslandCampina, Tarkett and Postillion Hotels.
Sarah Muyres
Account Director
Sarah (Venray, 1985) obtained her master's degree in Communication Policy & Management from Utrecht University. After an internship at L'Oréal and four years as a communications specialist at ABN AMRO and De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, she joined team Coebergh in 2015. Sarah enjoys using her creativity and nose for trends and news to devise strong campaigns and achieve great results for her clients. As account director, Sarah is responsible for clients such as Kinderpostzegels, Tarkett, Marina Rinaldi and Otrium.
